Difference between translation and interpretation!

The Translation and Interpretation always require the ability to express the information accurately. A good translator and an interpreter know how to express in an effective way of translation or interpretation, which sounds naturally in the target language.

The knowledge of both source and target languages are most important to translators and interpreters.
Translation is a written process; it follows a written text as source and translates it in target language. Translation recreates a source language into another language. A translated document is made by a translator who has the sufficient knowledge of that target language. For translating a document, a translator should know the source and target language very well.

In the other hand, Interpretation is an oral process; it refers to listening to something and orally interpreted into target language. For interpreting into another language an interpreter must have proper and effective knowledge about the language. Interpretation also needs the effective verbal communication skills.

In the addition, both translation and interpretations are different in the terms of spoken language and written language. While translating a document, the translators work along the document with their proper knowledge on that domain.

There are different types of domain in translations. In these different domain’s translators need to be very perfect on translating the document.

General domain translations are the simplest translation. It means there are no specific or technical terminologies used. But in the other types of translation always need to use specific or proper terminology. As a result of not using proper terminologies in these domains, it violates the actual meaning of the translated document. It is very much important to follow the proper terms for reflecting the proper meaning in the translated documents. To overcome the violation in the terms a translator always need to follow the instructions and terms for that particular domain. Please make sure that a qualified translator is used for one particular domain. In today's world there are several CAT tools are also used while translating a document.

There are several types of Interpretation techniques, in which in the first type of interpretation, the interpreter makes notes while listening to speech and proceeds interpreting during the pauses. A consecutive interpreter would interpret in both directions.

In the second type of interpretation, interpreter listens to a speech and simultaneously interprets it by using headphones and a microphone. This type of interpretation is commonly used when there are various languages needed.
